I’d find a pop up guide for the shortcut keys very helpful. Something like hitting the “?” key in Gmail and other web apps – it pops up a overlay with a reminder of what most, or all, of the shortcut keys are and what they do.

I like the new pop-up, except that it doesn’t list Mac equivalents in many cases. Could you add Mac-specific shortcut help (like Cmd instead of Ctrl) too?
