How can I manage people/groups I'm waiting for on an item?

Hi there,
I’m trying to manage the many people I have contacted and now I’m waiting on their response, together with some due date for checking on them.

However I see no obvious way to note the people I’m waiting on, so I could filter on it.

It’s not area, nor tag - both the list would get too long.

I’m curious how others manage that?

I use tags for this. I agree that if you have a lot of people this get’s a bit crowded in the tag area. We are looking at other ways to implement tags for people, but have not taken any steps at this point to implement any new tech around this idea. So for now the best way is to use Tags.
